Make that a lemon meringue pie with a very light and flaky crust and I'm a goner.

OR,

Most delightfully, a chocolate cream pie.

I had never tasted a chocolate cream pie till a woman I worked with offered to make one for my birthday. I think it was my 24th birthday. I asked her what it was like because I don't much care for cream things, and she and everyone else in the office went into raves about how good they are, so I acceded to their desire for my birthday cake to be a chocolate cream pie.

MISTAKE big time because now I love the suckers.

I had a cream pie when I was in New England in 1997 did not really care for it.

I suspect is was a bought in resaturant catering pack one one day I will make one amongst my many cook books I am certain I have several recipes. Maybe then I will see why people rave over them. :o)
