They did not criticize Bush tonight, at least not so that you would notice. Everyone said it would slam Condi, but I thought it was remarkably balanced. She came off as intently interested in the threat of Bin Laden, but she was the "new kid" on the block, doing just what people oon this thread wanted all of the Bush appointees to do: rearrange the positions and ease new people into place.

Remember, Bush had no transition time, thanks to Gore, and Congress was not too helpful about getting his Cabinet confirmed quickly. Remember how trashed the White House and offices were when the Bush team moved in on January 21, 2001? File cabinets glued together, keys missing from computers, nasty substances(?)poured into drawers. It was probably mid-March before the offices were in decent working shape after Clinton's team wasgone.

Clarke came off as a narcissistic jerk, inflating his role in everything. And he blew first one way and then the other. You could certainly tell that he did most of the writing on this project.

I think George Tenet's portrayal was the worst, after Albright's. What a bunch of bumbler's they all were.

But where was Hillary (Madam 2 for the price of 1) in all this? You know she had a hand in the missiles Clinton launched in '98 and '99. Nary a mention of that in this movie. Are they innoculating her for her Presidential run in 2008?

The Ambassador of Yemen, a typical Clinton appointee I suppose - also an apparently typical feminist who abuses other women and attempts to emasculate men if she considers them underlings, and more seriously an obstructionist who could have taken the whole Cole matter as seriously as it warranted. Just another weak link in the eight year long chain that was the Clinton administration. Taken altogether, all the weak links were forged together with the big weak link at the top of the chain, Bill Clinton.

As Prince Massoud, the Afghan warrior, stated "Reagan understood." All Clinton understood was a load of nonsense and folly. - President Bush understands. May the Lord help us to not have to endure any more of the Clinton nonsense and folly via a Hillary Clinton administration with Bill as first lady. - If it wouldn't be such a tragedy for them to ever be in power again, I would say it would serve Bill right to have to shuffle around in subservience to Hillary.

thank you. We recorded the movie, so I will thankfully be able to view what I missed tonight. I"m glad to know Bodine wasn't part of the editing cuts.

I had never heard of Special Agent John O'Neill. My heart is breaking, and I feel sick knowing what we did to this man.

Any real links to his story are welcomed.

I had to read on the screen to see who he was portraying --- not at all close to looking like VP and like you noted, made to look much older.

LOL...polls...I never pay ANY ATTENTION TO POLLS...they're always slanted to the left. You hardly ever get the real deal on them. Election 2004 & 2000 showed that big time.

Those rats think if enough lies are put out there it'll get 'em elected. Maybe one day it did...no longer.

Scholastic is dependent on the NEA, which is dependent on the Democrats.

Oh I see. Thanks for putting those dots together for me. Should have known by the way they covered the 2000 election.....sneaky snide little slant for the kiddos.

"ask our liberal friends, what's next? If we appease these people they WILL acquire nuclear wepons."

But the Libs think if we're nice to these people, sign treaties, mind our own business, admit our mistakes, close the CIA, release all prisoners, then they won't bother us.
Then of course they would give up their Nuke adventures.

Liberalism is insanity................!

DITTO! I also believe that if the 9/11 Commission Report is based on statements by the Clinton administration, we should not believe one word of it! For every situation in this docudrama, I wonder how much we will never know. I mean, after all, Sandy Burglar took out of the archives what he wanted, and replaced it with what would make Clinton look better. We will never have the imperial evidence, but we know how little Clinton did in 8 years. Bush barely had his foot in the door before 9/11 happened, I do not blame anyone but the terrorists themselves. Clinton could have stopped it way before Bush ever stepped into that office...but his approval ratings were just too important to make hard decisions. 3,000 people paid for his mistakes and negligence...let him live with that!
