It's a bit unclear to me, exactly what happenned. However, when the President called on Gregory, he wasn't ready to be called on. When he finally stood up to ask his question, W said something like "Now that you've gone through all those gyrations, what is your question?"
Throughout the "interplay" the President refered to him as "Dave" [which he hates]. And then when he wanted to ask his 4th follow up question, the President just talked right over the top of him, shut him up, and said "Next Man".
I walked in when Bush evidently said to Gregory something like "I know YOU think it's an important question," and I realized they weren't getting along.
My question about Dave Gregory - and I'm serious, is... given that DG's an obnoxious little snot, who thinks it's his right to debate (not question) the President, why doesn't the President simply NOT call on him, the way they stopped calling on Helen Thomas? What are they afraid of, bad publicity from ABC? They already get that.
