I couldn't watch the presser but this comment (below) from John Podhoretz makes sense to me.... President Bush is requiring the libs and RINOs to finally step up and take responsibility for their irresponsible sniping and whining.... either they allow reasonable legislation on interrogations, or else they try to justify to the electorate, NOW, during campaign season, why they are so eager to give savage terrorists all protections of the GCs or else they will have to bear the responsibility for obstructing the interrogations program going forward.

No more wailing and whimpering without responsibility - we are fighting for our survival and these weenies care only about comfort and kindness for terrorist prisoners!!

Bush's Game [John Podhoretz]

Just when you think you might have him figured out, George W. Bush comes up with something new. He said flatly during his press conference that if Congress doesn't agree to define specifically the forms of permissible interrogation of Al-Qaeda detainees, the "program will not go forward." In other words, we won't be able to interrogate them and get useful information out of them any longer, and you in Congress will be to blame for making America less safe.

Good. The congress should have to take responsibility now, and if they insist on putting us in danger then it's on them when we are attacked again.
