Mexico - where bounty hunting is illegal - claims Chapman jumped bail after being charged with illegally detaining Luster in June 2003.
A new special about last week's arrest will air tonight (10 p.m.) on A&E.
Chapman, who is out on $300,000 bail, said on yesterday's "Today" show that if he goes to prison in Mexico, he will be killed by inmates avenging the thousands of fleeing felons he's brought to justice.
"I won't last two days," he said.

I am a fan of the Dog's show.
Not because he is so great and all but just a average guy who is making a living honestly.
Just from what I see on the show Beth is the more prudent of the two.
They both are honest about their not so clean life and there thanks to God. Hence Dog he came up with as his nick God spelled backwards.
They are simple family people. Could have stayed on their earleir life choices and ended up as creeps.
I think Beth is the boss of the operation though. Gathering what I see on the shows, and yes I am an avid watcher.
Sometimes simple tv is a great unwind after a very stressfull work day.

He {Ronald Johnson, the assistant U.S. attorney handling the case on behalf of the Mexican government} said the United States expects its fugitives to be returned just as other countries expect the United States to deliver their fugitives.
So if the US expects it's fugitives to be returned...and the Mexican government didn't honor our request for Luster, why are honoring their request for Dog's return????
Free health care, public schools, tuition, drivers licenses, housing assistance,and anchor babies, you bet.
Unfortunately, if Dog had a great lawyer, he probably wouldn't be in this situation. I hope he gets a NEW lawyer who is great.
This is just wrong...Andrew Luster was convicted of 86 counts of rape, and was living it up in Mexico. God Bless the Dog, and I for one thank him for bringing the human piece of filth back from Mexico.
One of his victims was on A&E tonight and she says she can sleep again because Luster is in prison now. Personally, I'm on her side, not the side of the usual s**t disturbers. (who I won't name)
I thought they were self centered and my God having the cameras follow you all around for this mini soap opera.
Also I think Beth got in trouble by trying to bring a microphone into court.
As I said earlier if he had not jumped the Mexican bail and reported to that court when he was supposed to, I don't think he would have gotten any jail time, due to the publicity of his helping catch scumbag luster, but what the hey it makes good television, I guess.

This statement should strike fear into the heart of every US citizen, particularly those living in border areas. Remember these men supposedly committed a misdemeanor in Mexico, and they have a $300,000 bond. How many of us would not be financially ruined under similar circumstances? And Mexico won't give up accused (and possibly convicted) murderers to the US.
They seem to prefer to only work the night shift. POS JBT tactics straight from their book. Terrorize as much as possible. Did they stomp any kittens into the carpet, too? This whole thing stinks to high heaven.
Uh scumbag luster is in a California prison right now. He is not on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta.
From the Honolulu Advertiser article, it appears that Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Johnson is the one pushing hard for "no bail."
The AUSA position tends to attract ambitious, zealous types and Johnson is either unable or more likely unwilling, for his own perceived career advantage, to make distinctions in these types of cases. However, I'll bet he will prove to have been politically tone-deaf on this one.
I can't stand his show with his pig wife and weird relatives, but mexico needs to get their act together.
The Mexican corrupt druggies must have gotten tired of watching Dog pour out product and smashing crack pipes on his show. : )

Been a rough year for the Dog. His daughter died on the day he married Beth and now this.

I agree and will continue to pray for them. This is rather scary what it is happening to this family. Something is really odd about the whole thing.

Beth had commented that the way she was able to get Dog home last time was because of publicity. I can't say that I blame her for video taping all of it to show on the air to get people to put pressure on the authorities.
I think you need to remember that Dog wasn't on TV when he caught Luster. To Mexico (and most of us) he was completely unknown. I don't recall seeing anything about this story at the time. How much of the story was, "Some bounty hunter caught a Most Wanted Guy" versus "Bounty Hunter who caught Most Wanted Guy was Arrested For It".
He made Mexico police look incompetent by catching Luster. Being familiar with Mexico, I think Luster was paying people off. They didn't have a lot of incentive to "go easy" on Dog.
