Do you have any concept of manners? I asked a question as to whether Citgo operates stations in California. Also as part of that, if they supply oil to California retailers then I would like to know that as well. Why did that require an insulting reply?

Sorry about that. I thought you said that BP and ARCO oil comes from the UK and Alaska while Shell oil comes from Africa.

BP or Arco is largely from British or Alaskan oil fields. Shell comes from African and North Sea sources.

My point was that there is no way to determine what company produced the gas that ends up in your gas tank.

I will respond to that question, since no one else has. The answer is NO. CITGO never sold their 'refined' gas west of the Rockies, primarily due to the fact they had no way of getting it there other than by trucking it across the interstates. Any gasoline sold under the CITGO name was purchased from local refineries by the branded distributors (i.e. Southland Corporation, 7-11)
