Chavez says Bush 'alcoholic' and 'sick man'

NEW YORK - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez launched a new personal attack against President George W. Bush on Thursday, calling the US leader an "alcoholic" and a "sick man" during a tour of the New York district of Harlem.

Speaking while walking in a Harlem street, Chavez told a group of passers-by: "Bush is an alcoholic, a sick man with a lot of hang-ups."

"He walks like John Wayne," declared the left-wing Venezuelan leader. "He doesn't know anything about politics, he got there because of Daddy." Bush's father, George Bush, was also a US president.

In a controversial speech before the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, Chavez called Bush "the devil" and "a tyrant."

Chavez went to Harlem to announce the expansion of a programme to send cheap Venezuelan oil to poor families in New York.

Chavez: "He walks like John Wayne, He doesn't know anything about politics, he got there because of Daddy."
Man on street: "Hey brother, I bet I can tell you where you got them shoes".
Chavez: "What? How would you know this thing?"

I think that Chavez is a mildly successful demagogue who is playing to the Chomsky left under the impression that it's larger and more significant than it really is. Certainly that's the impression a lot of foreigners have, due to the disproportionate importance their bleatings are accorded in the MSM.

He crossed the line, but it isn't the line most people think it is. His real sin is that he now looks ridiculous and anyone standing next to him on the podium looks just as ridiculous. That's why it's empty.

"He's digging the democrats deeper and deeper...."

Sounds just like the 'rats. I hope the GOP runs ads with Chavez quotes and 'Rat quotes. Do it in a Q and A format: "Who said 'W killed blacks in New Orleans--tyrant Chavez or Democrats? Answer: BOTH" and so on...

The greatest statement about the United States is the Hugo Chaves will leave this country alive and still in power in his little ghetto.

I think Pelosi & Co. could feel the approval points climb for GWB and the Republicans, and decided to cut it off by calling Chavez a "thug"

I also think the piling on has a lot to do with it. It is becoming so transparent - the rats, the media, hollywood, academia -- and now dictators on our own soil. Real Americans are getting sick of the "blame Bush" theme and see it for what it is -- an orchestrated play for power. Almounutjob and Chavez are the final straw.

Whats funny about these two is that in 20 years they will be more forgotten than Qaddafi and that guy from Panama (his name escapes me)

So he's ranting at street people now?

He sounds like a street person with this lunatic raving. He fits right in, I suppose.

Time for you to go home now Hugo. We hope you will accept this bag of fresh spinach as gratitude for making the underachieving, nonproducers, of our country feel better.

>>>What are poor New Yorkers going to do with a bunch of oil?>>>

That's what I thought!! What are they going to do with it? Put it in their vehicle that costs more to garage then their rent? Maybe they can barter some credits with the bus companies, haha.
