'Healey is a racist' -- Patrick campaign jumps the shark in second day
Deval Patrick for Governor | 9/22/06 | ltn72

Posted on 09/22/2006 12:11:28 PM PDT by pabianice

Two days after Deval Patrick won the Democratic primary for MA governor, his campaign lashed-out at Republican candidate Kerry Healey, calling her a "racist" for wanting to deny MA drivers' licenses to criminal aliens.

We are going to be seeing a lot of this in the next two months as the MA Dems have nominated in Patrick a stone bigot who is on record as believing that all jobs and school admissions must be granted along strict racial and sex quota lines. Patrick was Clinton's Asst. Atty. general for Civil Affairs and Quotas.

In this race we see writ small the national mid-terms and the 2008 presidential campaign.

Patrick's platform includes:

* Mandate Public-paid Long Term Care, including Tax-paid Personal Care Attendants

* Eliminate the "Achievement Gap" by spending buckets of money more on failed schools -- eliminate these disparaties by providing "appropriate inclusive educational settings, and state of the art special education tools and support;" ...also "enhance the special education circuit breaker for cities and towns so that the 'sped' directors are no longer in a vise between the needs and rights of students and the limits of a local education budget (translation: tax all state residents for the cost of educating kids in Boston's sewer school system)

* Ensure Access to Job Opportunities -- i.e. strict quotas for jobs ... and ensure that the One-Stop Centers at the Department of Employment and Training are prepared to meet the training needs of people with disabilities (disabilities includes drug and alcohol abusers and child-molesters, er, 'people who adhere to an alternative lifestyle'

* Expand Eligibility to Health Insurance...cough... cough... a "broadened eligibility to the CommonHealth insurance program, which provides coverage for those who lose government benefits when taking a job, with a unique impact on people with disabilities"... "affordable premiums" by imposing punishing taxes upon evil employers

* Develop Affordable Housing Option... dramatically expand the range of housing options for people with disabilities, from home ownership, rental, congregate living and assisted living environments. We will also double the size of the Home Modifications Program and the Community Based Housing program to enable more people with disabilities, including children and seniors, to live in their own homes. (Pop quiz: guess who pays?)

* Enforce the ADA. Building on my experience as head of Civil Rights in the Clinton Administration, I will make compliance in state government with the Americans with Disabilities Act one of my highest priorities. We will have accessible public facilities and services, well-trained and prepared staff, and active outreach to and partnership with the disability community. I will also seek the service of persons with disabilities in my administration. As Governor I will not tolerate discrimination. (Translation: evryone who claims a disability will be able to run roughshod over employers, college admissions staff, landlords, and the taxpayers will foot the bill for the litigation)

Deval Patrick: From each according to their abilities; to each according to their needs

This from the same people who for forty years have given America the wretched Ted Kenendy. Something's in the water up there.

I've been there; the Gov't water tastes like sulfur and it's expensive.

They gave us Kerry and Boss Curley, too.

You know, because I was a preemie when I was born I do a lot of volunteer work for the March of Dimes. Had it not been for some of their assistance to my parents I might not be here today. What shocks me is that a lot of people in the supposed "caring liberal" state of Massachussetts are some of the most selfish, stingiest, and rudest people I've had to deal with in that capacity.

You have to wonder if the Working Class Whites of Boston, who tend to be Democrats will vote for this moron?

If he wins you can expect to see the economy tank, the real estate market to CRASH (not the slowdown that some posters here on FR keep pimping) from a whole lot of people fleeing the state and the state will lose congressional seats.

That remark was made by the head of the Democratic Party in Massachusetts (Johnson), but I don't expect facts to get in your way.

I know this sounds politically incorrect, but I can't picture white voters, even in the most liberal state, voting for a left-wing black governor.

The racists in South Boston and places like that won't. The liberals in the burbs will though.

Is it possible that for the 5th stright election since 1990, that MA will elect a GOP governor?

The last DEM gov of MA was Dukakis.

I'll be surprised if Patrick wins.

The Turnpike scandal which is a subset of the Big Dig scandal, and a few other items are getting a lot of attention around here. Gosh, why don't the "investigative reporters" go out and do the job on the Mass. Port Authority? That monstrosity makes the Turnpike Authority hacks look like...well pikers.

Romney it seems would have coasted to reelection if he had run.

This is Massachusetts though.

Two days after the November election our Representatives are going to vote on the issue of Gay Marriage being on the ballot.

That is because the vast majority of citizens here are pro gay marriage and therefore we don't have to have a vote to allow a vote.

They make my head hurt with their utter BS, regularly.

I didn't want to overreact, but my State Rep. who is a Democrat congratulated me last night in advance for retaining the Corner Office.
But as far as Patrick goes, he questioned "the character" of his two Primary opponents for disagreeing with him on policy during the debates. When he gets to Kerry Healy he is going to reiterate the words that Rep. Charles Rangel uttered in 1994 how "tax Cuts are code words for "S" and "N*".

Cool Mass. Since 1990 the GOP has held the Gov Mansion in a Heavy DEM state for one reason. Checks and Balances. MASS has 2 DEM Senators, 10 Dem Reps, and veto proof Legislature.

Patrick is a worse candidate than Shannon O'Brein who lost to Romney in 2002. so why would he win in 2006?

If Patrick wins this will become a One party state, and the GOP will become Irrelevant. The only challengers to the DEMS will be Libeterians
