You make an excellent point: if Klintoon had done all he said he was trying to do, we would have had to go to war---and his supporters don't even support the war we have now, AFTER 9/11!

Does he really think we are stupid enough to believe he would have had the guts to go to war or that his political base would have supported him in it?

That was the first thing I thought when I heard him say that. I was like, "Wait a minute! Back up! What did he say??" Crazy.

I love how he throws around Clarke's book but it makes me wonder whether he has actually READ any of it especially after hearing some of Rush's comments today. In particular, the quotes Rush read from the book in regards to Clarke REQUESTING a new position. I think 'Toon hears (and sees and reads) what 'Toon wants to hear just like the rest of his party.

I also think he said he had this wondrous plan to go in to Afghanistan, just to appear that he would have done what Bush did, trying to sound tough knowing he screwed up big time...jealous it wasn't on his watch. (hope that makes sense, not sure if I'm making my point!)

Of course he didn't have the guts, however, here is a list of some things he did have the "guts" for:

1. Bombing a Sudanese aspirin factory
2. Bombing the Christian Serbs to allow an Islamic foothold in Europe (Bosnia and Kosovo)
   
3. Allowing his man-ape Attorney General to storm a compound in Waco
   
4. Stick his willie into an intern and lie about it to the Public
   
5. Execute last minute pardons of criminal cronies

Just to name a few, please feel free to add to the list.
