He has come out blasting the N-word story including providing more witnesses [teammates] than accusers. However, the MSM will not get that story out. It is similar to the Bush NG story. Once the accusation is made, it matters not what the facts are. That is the objective of a smear campaign. Put your opponent on the defensive and hope that the accusation, true or not, sticks with some of the voters.
Agreed on the George Allen hit job though - it is so blatant but not unexpected.
Sorry, but I did not expect these virulent personal attacks orchestrated by the MSM. Webb just stands by as an observer and above the fray, but we know his campaign is behind it. In hindsight, Webb used similar tactics on his Jewish opponent in the Dem primary with his famous comic book portrayal of him.
I always expect the MSM to maximize the negative for a Republicans. The hitman may be in the Webb campaign but the MSM always helps out the hitman when it benefits a Democrat.
