Blessings CT. Blessings, as well, for Lisa and what your futures may hold.
Rejoice in your condition and in the new things that it will teach you.

In the midst of the dark news this week, you bring the silver lining with this post. God's answer to the prayers lifted for you have been remarkable.
Now. Go live happily ever after. :o)

Outstanding news! It's great to have you back in the fold. Judging by your post, the grey matter is firing on all cylinders. I had the cancer experience in 1985. The lab work to discern the origin of the tumor took 3 weeks. The followup treatment was 3000 rads of radiation. Not pleasant, but I'm pleased with the result :-) Lisa's definitely a keeper. I wish both of you well.

Free Republic means a lot to meTator, you mean a lot to FR. The other day I put a link to your prayer thread on the "Day in the life of President Bush" thread. A lot of concern and prayers were sent to you by the Dose community as well.
I hope and pray you do beat this cancer and go on to have many happy years with Lisa. Also, we need your voice of reason around here for a long time to come.
Very best regards,
Wolfie

That sounds great, and just the way a good outcome was supposed to sound.
A friend who is a former pro ball player and great chiropractor had a similar situation to yours.
Like you the same thing was discovered by him after a seizure and X-ray.
He also had similar surgery, was on steroids and a year at least of medicine to prevent seizures.
They do that because if they can prevent seizures for a year they almost never come back.
Ten days after my buddy had his operation, he was back full time in practice and has been almost back to 100%.
He does exercise still, but doesn't participate in any more competitive sports because he doesn't want to take an accidental blow to the head. (which is logical).
He drives race cars, goes trap shooting, golfs still. (Not that golf is a sport...LOL) :-)
Sounds like it is all going just great, congratulations and we are glad you are doing better.

It is unto You, O Lord, that we return with praise and thanksgiving for the touch of Your mighty hand upon our beloved Common Tator. We thank You, Gracious Father, that his learned voice continues to be heard ... that You have heeded the pleas of Your children and brought him back to his family and friends. Take from him, O God, every trace of cancer, that he might continue in robust health to instruct us and encourage us as he shares his vast storehouse of knowledge. Strengthen him as he goes about his daily tasks, and under gird him with a freshness of faith and zeal for his Creator God. Bring to him the desires of his heart, that we might rejoice with him in Your goodness and mercy.
To You, O Lord, belongs all praise and glory, all majesty and power, now and for evermore, Amen ...

TATOR!! Woohoo! (BtD suddenly learns that cartwheels are for younger people...)
Great, great news, and my evening just peaked, and I bet I'm not the only one. So how does it feel to post an update like that and have people all over the country dancing? Because we are, my FRiend.
But the steroids...I hate to break it to you, but the steroids are going to take you out of contention for the Mr. Universe contest this year. Probably time to give those punk kids a chance anyway... ;-)
To: Common Tator
CT, that is AWESOME! (And I will keep praying for your total health and happiness.)
It's quite something when one is (sort of) relieved to find out one had cancer instead of Alzheimer's ...
Cancer, BE GONE in JESUS' NAME.

You better keep an eye on that young lady - she's worth the trouble, apparently. ;-)
