Your kids are grown and can (I would think) find some friends or neighbor ladies that would help for a short time.

As a mom, I always felt my kids came first. As a first time Grandma, I've felt the same. My son and his wife are very choosy about who they let care for my granddaughter. They recently located to Columbus, and only have my daughter and son in law locally, and my neice, who just went through a difficult pregnancy, and has a newborn, to babysit. I have been making the trip to watch my Granddaughter when needed.

I'm sure that they will ask my niece to watch my Granddaughter, if she's able, but that doesn't mean that I don't wish I could be two places at once.At the end of the day, I will be there for CT, or go back and forth so I can care for them both. It's not just about my time, I have other issues.

God forbid anything happened to you, but what was their big plans if you caught a major flu and had to avoid them for two weeks?

If they **brought** the baby to a niece it shouldn't be that bad. I had a friend have a baby on Thursday and she was running around on Saturday visiting folks for hours. Depends on the person.

Follow what your little voice inside tells you to do.

Do what you want to.
