A man is dead after he threw a brick through the glass door of a Montcalm home.
State Police say Adam Lee Bennett shattered a door of Rodney Hendrick’s home about 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Hendrick, who had been sleeping, grabbed a gun and confronted Bennett, who was standing at the door, police said.
Hendrick then opened fire, hitting Bennett in the chest, police said.
Bennett, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges will be filed against Hendrick, but the Mercer County prosecutor will present the case to the next session of the grand jury.

Document CMPC-2003-006431.pdf contains a series of Saddam speeches dated between September 12 2001 and October 29 2001. In these speeches he addresses the terrorist attacks of 9/11 but of course he never called it terrorist attacks. Some of the speeches are open letters to the American and Western people and some were speeches during meeting with some of his government members. The translated speech below was given by Saddam on September 12 2001 during a meeting with members of the Iraqi Military Industrialization Commission (MIC) in which he blames the US for 9/11 saying that it was the US evil that brought them 9/11/

Sir Ian Blair said detailed security plans were being drawn up for the event, with a team of officers already working on the project full-time. An estimated 200,000 people will be involved, including 70,000 volunteers, 40,000 construction workers, 30,000 security officers and 60,000 others – representing a major challenge in terms of vetting them to ensure they do not pose a security risk.
Sir Ian added that a terrorist risk assessment had been carried out by police as part of the Olympic bid, but 24 hours after the Games were awarded to London, the July 7 bombings took place.
"We know where we are now. There can be no doubt that the 2012 Games – if the scenario that currently exists stays the same – will be a huge target and we have to understand that and work on that basis."
Asked if al-Qa'eda might regard the Olympics as "the big one", Sir Ian said: "I don't want to consider what al-Qa'eda thinks is the big one. But there is no question that hosting an Olympic Games in a liberal democracy rather than in China poses different issues.
