I wonder if O'Donnell got clearance from the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee before launching this attack. He might have - if somebody up there agreed it's the only way to save his sinking ship (although, if somebody thinks that, they're probably wrong). I find it hard to believe that a party regular like O'Donnell (hasn't he been an appointed something or other in the Republican administration of Gov. Owins?) would launch a broadside against the Republican president without consulting some higher-ups first, or at least giving them warning.
