Oh please what, tell me where I'm wrong?

You wouldn't live in Section 8 housing.. you don't want government in charge of your health care.. but you willingly hand your kids over to the state.. and make no mistake about it, that's exactly what you do 8 hours a day.

Public schooling should be the schooling of abject last resort.

I thought public schools have local school boards and aren't run by the state or the fed.

Private education is just not an option for that much of the population. Even if it is not an economic issue, there simply are not enough seats available and while I am a fan for home schooling, I think few parents are really qualified to do that successfully.

I've done all kinds of school. Private, public, and home. Seems to me the right answer depends on the school, the parents, and the child. And it varies from time to time and place to place.
