Internet age of consent is 18, not 16. That person is now 21 years old and the posts were from 2003, QED, he was 18

Not sure where you are getting that. He specifies in the IMs, "Xxxxxxxxxx (8:33:29 PM): ya slow things down a little im still young...like under 18 dont want to do anything illegal...im not 18 till feb 23 Maf54 (8:33:43 PM): i know.. Maf54 (8:33:50 PM): nothing will happen

How could an "internet age of consent by 18" but the actual age of consent by 16? That doesn't make any sense.

Geez, you are annoying. The main actual SEX message was from AFTER he was 18. Yes, the friendship started before he turned 18 and it got a little heavy, but the main sexual conversation that was highlighted by ABC and reported to be with an underage boy actually took place once the "kid" was legal age according to the timestamps. I'm not the first one who has said this to you either.
