I think Merkel gets it, and certainly Sarkozy (who I hope wins in France). And lately, Blair and crowd have made some unusual statements.

Plus just today I posted an article on Jack Straw and his dislike of burkas. I think Labour is trying to get back in the game and Straw and Reid are taking a much tought line against muslims. This is unusual for Straw because his constituency (Blackburn) is IIRC around 30% muslim. He might even lose his seat if he isn't careful.

Wouldn't be surprised if he had already decided to stand down at the next election. Politicians are notable for making outspoken statements *after* they have nothing to lose.

I have been talking about the European awaking for several years, and I can tell you that all signs are pointing to that it is happening more and more.

Just follow the British media. It has changed rather dramatically during the last couple of years. In Norway, a documentary showing the dreaded Mohammed cartoons was just shown to popular acclaim. The documentary attacked muslim fundamentalists, cowardly Norwegian politicians.

The awakening in Europe has increased in pace and in magnitude.

I just pray it is not too late.
