WASHINGTON — House Speaker Dennis Hastert's chief of staff confronted then-Rep. Mark Foley about inappropriate social contact with male pages well before the speaker said aides in his office took any action, a current congressional staff member said Friday.
The staff member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Hastert's chief of staff, Scott Palmer, met with Foley at the Capitol to discuss complaints about the Florida Republican's behavior.
The alleged meeting occurred long before Hastert says aides in his office dispatched Rep. John Shimkus, R-Ill., and the clerk of the House in November 2005 to confront Foley about troubling e-mails he had sent to a Louisiana boy.
The staff member's account supports Foley's former chief of staff, Kirk Fordham, who said this week that he had appealed to Palmer in 2003 or earlier to intervene, after Fordham's efforts to stop Foley's behavior had failed. Fordham said Foley and Palmer, one of the most powerful figures in the House, met within days to discuss the allegations.
Palmer said this week that the meeting Fordham described "did not happen." Timothy Heaphy, Fordham's attorney, said Friday that Fordham is prepared to testify under oath that he had arranged the meeting and that both Foley and Palmer told him the meeting had taken place. Fordham spent more than three hours with the FBI on Thursday, and Heaphy said he contacted the House ethics committee Friday to offer his client's cooperation.
"We are not preparing to cooperate. We are affirmatively seeking to," Heaphy said.

Jordon Edmund (username jordanedmund) was an administrator of the www.pagealumni.us Alumni message board. He and another, Matthew Loraditch (username loraditchm AIM ID-mloradites), creator and administrator of the Page Alumni Forum, had access to everything.
Chris Katsoros, also part of this group (a self declared gay), was a page appointed by Pelosi(who is a close friend of his mother,Robin Katsoros).
Mz. Robin Katsaros, is the one who wanted pages to answer questions in emails and share their experiences. She planned on sending to all pages who were members of the alumni site, because she was planning on authoring a brand new book on paging and its history.
The circle gets small once you know who all the players are.
When you realize that some (at least 2) of these "pranksters" were openly gay themselves, visited (are members of) places like "the bath house", are well connected in RAT circles, the odds of this being a prank that got out of hand seem more and more less likely. It looks more like a set up. They knew Foley's weakness and lured him in. That doesn't excuse Foley, but it does raise other questions, such as just who knew what and when? You can bet Jr. RATS told Mommy and Aunty Nancy all about it.
I don't know, nut it might help to explain why some many of the Pages are Gay.
I don't buy this. Both Foley and Fordham are GAY. Fordham is probably just upset because he wasn't invited to join in.
Tom Reynolds is a wuss. I've never heard of him or seen him, but maybe he's why we are losing ground in the HOUSE!!

Are you implying that Foley was in charge of the page program? I have heard this stated on a radio talk show. Foley was the chairman of the subcommittee on missing and exploited children, which is bad enough, but I don't think he was in charge of the page program.

I don't know if it is true or not that Foley used to be a Dem, but I know that a lot of Republicans as well as Freepers have admitted to being such at one time or another.

It looks alot like the Keystone Cops - all the gay staffers are running around pointing fingers at everybody else and saying, "He knew about Foley! I told him." All trying to cover their own butts.
Regarding why anyone would put Trandahl in charge of the House Page program... threw common sense aside to show how tolerant and "big tent" they were.
At the kids' expense.
Or maybe, because Foley got caught, the rest of them are sweating razor blades about what may turn up in the FBI and House investigations.
The investigators should be seizing computers all over the Hill.
Not Foley, Trandahl. Jeff Trandahl. Openly gay, and from 1998 until 2005 was Clerk of the House, which made him the BMOC in charge of the House Page program.
Sorry, but all the pages seem to be gay....it's like the Gay Palace Guard....only younger and very un-serious.

I saw someone in here mentioned he used to be a Democrat.....and I told this to a lib who was ticked that Foxnews said he was(accidentally). But, I told her he used to be a Democrap because of someone in here...

Um, do you have any evidence of this? The two pages I've known were absolutely not gay. OK, maybe they are gay, but their spouses and children and friends aren't aware of it.
