While the photo below is not my yatagan, it is almost identical, except the one in the photo does not have the bronze inlays with an inscription and the date. On a side note, the farmer did not want to part with the sword, not because it held much value to him, but he needed to cut the weeds. I got him to sell it to me by buying a brand new machete-style blade and bringing it to him. He liked it much better, and gave me a very good price for his sword.
