We were told that Charles Bishop's plane crash was "accidental" too even though he called it a terrorist act in his suicide letter.

I even remember the nut in the Cessna who fired on Boston one night back in the 1980s.

Witness on CNN describes it as "like somebody flew a plane into your living room".

The fact that they don't even know for sure whether it was an airplane or a helicopter is a good indication of just how unreliable eyewitness accounts can be.

A helo or plane wrenching at odd attitudes b4 crash (and into lower-value target) might also be consistent with an in-cockpit STRUGGLE.

Like if a muzzie had taken the copter hostage. And had presented plan A as premise, only to have it dawn on pilot/passengers that plan B was playing out....

She instantly responded, "This is 10-11."

What are the odds?

...about 1 in 30.

Prayers for those who are trapped. Prayers for the police and fire personnel who are trying to rescue them.

Ditto!

I leave my kitchen window open. When the wind is blowing from west to east, air is pulled out; but when it's blowing east to west -- as it is today -- air comes in. And since I'm just west of the crash site ...

I wasn't trying to be flippant. Helicopters are not easy to fly. And if you disregard the terrorist angle, about the only way you'd fly into a building is by accident - whether pilot error, mechanical failure, collision with an object, weather, etc.

it may be an overstatment, but that is what CNN is saying.

Yes, I just didn't want you to think it was worse than it was.

Out of all the buildings in New York, why would a terrorist select some apartment building.

Yep, I'm hearing that too about small, multi-engine plane. Also heard reporter (forget his name) on CNN say that a GA aircraft flying VFR would have no business in this area. Not jumping to conclusions, but sounds fishy.

New Yorkers might remember that eerie incident about 10-15 years ago in which a traffic helicopter crashed in the river (I don't remember if it was the Hudson River or the East River) while the traffic reporter was on the air live.

I think the WNBC chopper crash was into the Passaic River in New Jersey.
