"Please post a link to this phantom small "L" party website."
According to you definition there are no conservatives because there is Conservative Party. Neocons and liberal republicans are pro big government and will ruin the party. There is a reason the only message you hear about the 2006 elections are "we aren't as bad as the other guys". Anyone care to explain why we should accept a slow path to disaster instead of a fast one?

I'm a very conservative Republican. Conservative is a term used to define beliefs, not a alternative party.
Just because I'm 100% pro-gun, property rights, low taxes, doesn't mean that I dumb enough to vote for an "Aardvark" party or abandon the only party that agrees with 99% of what I do.
The confusion that Libertarians have over who to vote for isn't my problem.
It's not something I can solve for them.

Anyone care to explain why we should accept a slow path to disaster instead of a fast one? Buying time.
It's a military strategy; trade territory for time to build an effective counteroffensive.
Doubt not there are some real conservatives out there waiting to make their move in 2008. A "D" victory in 2006-- or the perception of such-- will render this effort, at best, much more difficult.
And that's all I'm gonna say about that.
