It won't wash for old lurch. There is no way you can interpret what he said as a joke. He's just mad it was caught on tape. This "I'm a real man" mantra is pathetic too. If you have to tell people you are a real man, odds are you aren't.

Now he's calling us crazy for thinking he insulted the men and women of our military.

Seriously, I just don't understand how he can say this.

- He clearly, deeply, insulted our troops in Vietnam. We've all seen the video of this Vietnam testimony.

- He clearly insulted our troops in Iraq, when he referred to our troops "terrorizing" people in raids in Iraq.

These points should be made in response. He should not get a pass on saying he wouldn't do such a thing - HE HAS, on at least two occasions. Rush needs to zero in on this bald faced lie. Play his anti-military Vietnam testimony and his "terrorizing" audio, then his statement today.
