My thought is that his mind is stuck in the '60s...back then if you studied, focused and "got smart" you would have IIS deferment from the draft for at least 4 years...and if you went into the service you could be an officer like sKerry.

Now, we have a better trained, more skilled, more motivated, more powerful military and NO DRAFT.

sKerry's idea mechanism is broken.
