DES MOINES, Iowa A Democratic Congressional candidate from Iowa is canceling a campaign event later this week with Senator John Kerry.
Brucy Braley says Kerry's recent comments about the Iraq war were inappropriate. Braley's decision to distance himself from Kerry came as a furor grew from comments Kerry made about the Iraq War during a campaign stop in California on Monday.

I wonder what would happen if a Democrat for whom Kerry was supposed to campaign didn't cancel the trip but instead decided to make Kerry wish he had? Not sure what the best way would be, but if I were even remotely inclined to vote Democrat, I'd be pleased by someone who gave Kerry some very nasty very public come-uppance.

It has occurred to me that this cancellation by the Iowa candidate may actually help him. Rats could conceivably use Kerry as a prop in their own campaigns, "John Kerry doesn't speak for me!" That sort of thing. Of course, that would entail throwing completely Kerry overboard like yesterday's garbage..... Something Hillary is no doubt encouraging beneath the radar right now even as we post.
I guess by now no democrat will touch Kerry with a 10 ft. pole... too much gravitas.. negative gravitas that is.. LOL
