As it turns out, that is a real case. The terrorists were referring to the Brooklyn bridge. When the NSA figured that out, they phoned the NYPD, who flooded the bridge with cops.
The toe sucker is contradicting himself. Obviously, the reference to "the bridge in the Godzilla movie" was sufficient to indicate the threat (otherwise, the NYPD would have had no idea what to do); ergo, it was sufficient to follow channels and obtain a warrant.
Clearly you have no idea the amount of time involved - and wasted - in going through channels. You prove the law of unintended consequences in that you will be smugly comfortable that the current "going through channels" method is both consitutional and effective until something happens. We can only hope it's in your back yard when it does.
