Its all part of a sting op by the Pentagon; they created this super-duper top secret story on nukes and Iraq, gave it to a few individuals so they could track down the leaker. HA!!!

Whatever it is, Drudge already knows but can't or won't say. Considering the way he writes headlines, and that his prime audience are people like us, I think if it were bad for the GOP he'd somehow hint that, no? It'd be nice to have reason for optimism, however I'm inclined to think that despite some interesting postulations the NYT story will be a dud. Hope I'm wrong (and wrong in favor of the GOP that is).

Something tells me that this may be an Al QaQaa story: "Plutonium Went to Syria: Bush Is Incompetent". Just a hunch...".

Whatever it is, it will have been leaked to the NYT by a staunch Republican who is a patriotic former member of the administration

Larry Johnson

That would be a story in itself - the Administration forcing the NYT to publish a story. They wouldn't go along, but they would publish a story about the threat.

I don't see that happening. It wouldn't be smart for the Administration, and it wouldn't work anyway.

They're going to bash Bush. The Times is going to take some old news, add in some "whistleblower" that should have spoken out years ago if he really had anything, and make it tomorrow's headline story.

I have been hoping and expecting the "flop" of cards in October from the WH....What better place to put it than the NY Times who hates Bush...It also means "They" cant ignore it...I hope I am right

Proof of nukes in Iraq would be nice.... and maybe we do have Osama in the WH basement

You may be correct, but do not they prove then that Saddam had a nuclear program and President Bush was right in taking him out? I think so.

Simple, They will expose that Our Troops did find Iraqi Nukes and That President Bush secretly has hidden that from the American public since the invasion.

Expect a lengthy diatribe on how President Bush betrayed the public trust by not telling the country that Saddam did indeed have nuclear weapons and that some of those weapons were transfered into Al Queda's hands just before the invasion and are presently unaccounted for.

Followed by of course if we hadn't invaded Iraq, Saddam never would have given Al Queda the nukes it needed to launch a nuclear attack against us at will.

The summary will of course call for the immediate impeachment of the President.

If Saddam did have nukes, they would almost surely have had Russian markings on them. If not Russian, then what? French?

My first reaction was hopeful optimism. EVEN seeing the NYT mentioned. If a story was REALLY big, I could see sources in the WH giving the Times' the story.

That is a good theory. The Slimes could release it 4 days before the elction in the hopes that the voters will not soon enough recognize the cognitive dissonance involved in believing that Saddam did not have WMD, on the one hand, and that Saddam passed WMD to Al Queda, on the other.

Second your assessment. These weasels learned to implement better timing in order to take any momentum out.

Brace yourselves this could be a sucky unproductive weekend thanks to the DNC prison bitches at the NYT-

jveritas Has translated documents that hint at a nuclear device test as well as the burial of slave labor victims involved in the test, if I remember correctly.
