I wish I could give him your message, but he passed away in 1994.

I was born at Scott AFB in Illinois and then we were transferred to a base in Selma, AL (Travis?), then to England for 5 years, and finally he retired at Norton AFB in San Bernardino in 1964.

He didn't talk about his "job" that much, and he NEVER talked about what he went through in Okinawa...but he had a military guard at his funeral (which impressed my kids!) and is interred at Riverside National Cemetery, so I know how much his Air Force career meant to him.
