What I'd like to say about the New York Times' editors might also be expressed with a string of four-letter epithets, but I'll keep it clean:

The Times is now run by a group of thirty-something mainly homosexual leftists from Ivy League schools who detest our military and believe the United States is a force for evil in the world. They want our enemies to win because they hate us, too. Toward this end, and in support of the efforts of those who seek to destroy our culture and our society, the Times routinely publishes intelligence data helpful to our enemies and photos of violence against our soldiers designed to sap public support for the war.

By purposefully encouraging hopelessness and despair on the part of the American people and by encouraging the enemy, the behavior of the Times' editors has been both despicable and disloyal. "Treason" has a real meaning, even in these Times, and it is on display for all to see each day on West 43rd Street in Manhattan.

Goebbels would be proud. During the last months of WW2, the Germans dropped propaganda pamphlets on Allied troops showing photos of dead soldiers and asking, "Do you want to be the last man to die in the war?"

The Times just helps them kill us, they do and they will continue to, unless we stop them. Every life is precious, especially the ones who will fight for us. Sacrifice? You bettcha, and these guys do it with no support from those who don't have the guts to fight for it. Sick of it. Yes we are, but we are realy sick of those that aid and abet the enemy.

Hey, this muslim thing, Iraq and the whole middle east is a growing problem. It is not going to just "go away" with a Jon Carrey handshake. America and anyone left in the west better realize that they are in it for a long time if they wish to not wear a bhurka and bow to Islam. These young men and women are fighting for this cause and they deserve our total support. It hurts that we have those out there that will use them for political gain. Thanks, my typing is bad when I get emotional.

The New York Slimes' glistening new 52-story skyscraper will be opening soon.

They used eminent domain to muscle out the previous tenants.

Those "values" and "democratic ideals" included using eminent domain to forcibly evict 55 businesses--including a trade school, a student housing unit, a Donna Karan outlet, and several mom-and-pop stores--against their will, under the legal cover of erasing "blight," in order to clear ground for a 52-story skyscraper. The Times and Ratner, who never bothered making an offer to the property owners, bought the Port Authorityadjacent property at a steep discount ($85 million) from a state agency that seized the 11 buildings on it; should legal settlements with the original tenants exceed that amount, taxpayers will have to make up the difference. On top of that gift, the city and state offered the Times $26 million in tax breaks for the project, and Ratner even lobbied to receive $400 million worth of U.S. Treasurybacked Liberty Bonds--instruments created by Congress to help rebuild Lower Manhattan. Which is four miles away.

More on the NYT's abuse of eminent domain to build their headquarters.

When The New York Times and Forest City Ratner Companies open their grand new office building on Eighth Avenue, it won't have a Taco Bell, McDonald's, Wendy's, or Nathan's, because they are specifically forbidden under terms of a land deal with the state. But a Starbucks or Cosi would be just fine.

The lease, which is on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission, also bars renting space in the 52-story building for "a school or classroom or juvenile or adult day care or drop-in center." It forbids "medical uses, including without limitation, hospital, medical, or dental offices, agencies, or clinics." It gives the New York Times Company "the sole and absolute discretion" to reject United Nations or foreign-government offices, including any "considered controversial" or that are potentially the focus of demonstrations. It bans any "employment agency (other than executive-search firms) or job training center" and auction houses, "provided, however, the foregoing shall not apply to high-end auction houses specializing in art and historical artifacts." Discount stores are forbidden. And the deal bars "a welfare or social-services office, homeless shelter or homeless assistance center, court or court-related facility."

In fact, any government office is excluded from the building if it would attract people who arrive "without appointment."

Lease restrictions that exclude the public may not be unusual in luxury office buildings, but there is an irony in this case. The Pataki administration, acting on behalf of the New York Times Company, condemned the property for a so-called "public purpose." This is the standard the Fifth Amendment sets for the state to invoke the immense power of eminent domain.

The DUmbasses in the lame-stream, has-been, drive-by dinosaur media have to cover Saddam's sentencing tomorrow.

If he's sentenced to DEATH, any further trials are moot and we are again reminded of why our troops are in Iraq - depose Saddam (or REGIME CHANGE as it was referred to when Clinton adopted it as policy, but did nothing more than lip service). DUmocrats wanted the election to be about Iraq, and so it is.

1. Jean-Fraud Kerry infers that soldiers in Iraq are dumb.

2. Soldiers respond

3. NYT admits Saddam had nuke program.

4. Families of fallen visit Iraq (no quagmire)

5. Saddam sentenced (death by wood chipper)

News cycle seems to be working for GOP advantage thus far. DUmocrats today counter with "Rusmsfeld must resign" and "recruiters caugh lying" stories. Wow. That's new....NOT!

In addition to Saddam sentencing, Fox will be running OBSESSION - THE MOVIE, and we get to see the face of the enemy today and tomorrow. Fox is also showing "waterboarding" (Steve Harrigan, a Fox reporter volunteered to show how it is done) all day today.

I don't know what Monday brings, but I've got a good idea about the day after.

Well said!! The NY Slimes will not rest until (heaven forbid) they can help to ensure terrorist victory. Publishing that photo at the upper left of the front page, and the two article immediately below are, show that the Slimes continues to be a blatant propaganda organ for the radical left's alliance with the Islamo-fascists. Both groups feel a shared need to undermine America, each for their own reasons. The secular left in the west is sufficiently ignorant and insane to imagine that they can use the rise of Islamo-fascism for their own purposes, kinda like what many very foolish people in Europe thought about the Nazis as some kind of "bulwark" against Bolshevism.

Guess you got your wish, Pinch Sulzberger, you worthless smear of gerbil dung! Do you celebrate EVERY dead soldier or Marine in Iraq? After all, for many of the terrorists in Iraq (certainly not all) it is "their country" so according to your Vietnam-era statement you want them to succeed in killing Americans. So you just had to boast about it on the front page, above the fold:

"the Times's new publisher, Arthur "Pinch" Sulzberger Jr ... was a sixties anti-war activist who famously declared that in a confrontation between an American and a North Vietnamese soldier he'd want to see the American get shot."

I agree with you regarding the American Left's tacit alliance with the Islamofascists. Historically though, I think it is more like the Bolsheviks' alliance with the Nazis (pre-1940), in which the Left's desire to end the "old order" in Europe blinded them to Hitler's ultimate goals - and to his madness.

Yes and no..... the USSR's sudden "Non-Aggression Pact" with Hitler was of course a political earthquake and freed Hitler to attack both Poland and then in the west. Also there are times when various communists and even the Comintern policies seemed aimed at helping the Nazis destroy "old Europe" as a prelude to what the commies expected would be the universal triumph of the proletariat.

However, there were also plenty of non-communists, including many industrialists, politicians, etc. in Germany and elsewhere, who were far too sympathetic to Hitler's rise as they did not see him as a threat (until it was too late) compared to the Bolsheviks.

That's what I was referring to, that in the early and mid 1930s there were plenty of people in business and politics, both in and out of Germany, who could have done a lot to impede Hitler.

Remember that other papers subscribe to the NYT News Service; therefore this most likely appeared in other papers - it will also certainly be displayed in the Middle East to bolster the spirits of the terrorists.

The NYT truly is an enemy: it is complicit in the deaths and wounding of our servicemen and servicewomen; and it creates conditions to foster attacks on the U.S. and democracies everywhere.

The NY Times may play politics in the blood of these heroes today but the day will come when it's publishers will be called to account for their actions.

Hmmmm. How about this?

ARTICLE. III.
SECTION. 3.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the life of the Person attainted.

We could take the Times away from the Sulzberger family, and sell it at auction on the Subtreasury steps in Manhattan. If the high bidder is a conservative, he could, the very next day, fire all those gay, conservative-hating, Bush-bashing Times editors and columnists in one big auto da fe. Call it the "Manhattan Vespers". Does that sound good?
