I'm in Florida, the socialist part of Florida.
Lots (but not an overwhelming number of) of Democrat candidate signs. The big battle down here Congress-wise is Clay Shaw (Constitutionalist Republican) vs. Ron Klein (liberal hack job Democrat operative).
Most of my GOTV calls have been for Shaw and Charlie Crist our gubernatorial candidate...I did not support Crist in the primary but am working for the party as a volunteer so when I work the phones we give him a plug too.
Better a REPUBLICAN than a 'rat, in my opinion...even if I don't the the REPUBLICAN is the best REPUBLICAN he or she can be! :)

I'm in heavily Bolshevik Tucson. There is always political sickness here. And the roads are cluttered with pony tailed men and butchy women with eight Democrat bumper stickers on their cars. These people would run over their own mothers.
Arizona 8 was supposed to be a war, but the national party refused to help Randy Graf, who was deemed too conservative by the establishment. Graf was on his own. He didn't run much of a campaign, and like Republicans elsewhere, he didn't play up the border issue to court the middle. It thwarted the "extremist" charges against him, but didn't do a lot else.
We deserve what we get. If that little Bolshevik feminazi, Gabrielle Giffords truly wins here, in a district with an eight point GOP advantage, then all this stuff about the border being a rallying point is so much truck, as Tom Sawyer would say. This district runs right alongside Mexico. If Giffords wins here, where we can visually see the border, we might as well all learn Spanish and the Mexican anthem. (Boy, is it long)
