They won't even have to. They'll just not extend President Bush's tax cuts. In a few years, our taxes skyrocket and they never lifted a finger to do anything.
Well, on behalf of the (at least) 1,148,750 loyal Virginians that DID vote for George Allen, I'd like to apologize to the rest of the country. We tried, guys, and maybe it's not over yet. The fact that my beloved home state--and I really do have an incredible pride in being a born-and-bred Virginian--is sending to the Senate John Warner and (probably) James Webb...ugh. That whining sound you hear all over the Commonwealth tonight is the good Virginia men of the past three hundred and ninety-nine years--Henry, Mason, Washington, Madison, Jefferson, Monroe, Tyler, Lee, Jackson, Stuart, Davis--spinning in their graves. I'm sorry we've failed them today.

You did your part, and then some. We've got a 50/50 divided country, and that's what needs to change.
Thank you Moose4 for all your posts on this thread tonight. I appreciate your taking the time to post and offer analysis. I'm just heartsick that it's turning out this way. Sleep well.
Hey man, it's not your fault. I already thanked you once, and I'm very willing to say thanks, again. You kept all of us informed and analyzed with the best of them. Your game was in top form.
Thanks.
Good night.
G'night, Moose. I know what you mean. Being a native Virginian means something, even though we're becoming rarities in the Old Dominion.
We'll get up from this, dust ourselves off, and fight again next election. And, with luck, we'll learn some hard lessons, and keep Nancy and Company in the minority where they belong.
