Dick Morris has been predicting to NewsMax readers that the GOP would hold the Senate and lose the House.

Based on latest results and exit polls, Morris tells NewsMax:

The Republicans will lose the House with a 5 to 10 seat Democratic majority.

The Republicans keep the Senate with at least 50 votes

Allen wins in Virginia.

Too early to tell on Missouri.

Stay tuned.....

How many seats are we away from a speaker Pelosi? John Kerry just came out from hiding claiming that Americans have voted against right-wing ideas and a failed war policy. He's talking like they have a MANDATE!

The Republicans will lose the House with a 5 to 10 seat Democratic majority.

I'm no optimist, but there is ONE positive thing about this occurrance. George W. Bush knows the Dem-controlled House is out to GET him, and perhaps this will bring out the true conservative that sometimes seems to go to sleep inside him.

Hey Dick,
If you predict Allen wins in VA and at this writing Corker is way ahead in Tenn, then the count is 51!

We have heard for the past 6 years of nothing but complaining from the left. Now they have a chance to show they can work with the republicans and move this country forward. Although I doubt that.

how can you have a mandate if you don't have a plan ? by the way, do we yet know Jean Francois Kerry's "secret" plan for Iraq that he promised we would have after the 2004 election???!!!

As much as I hate to lose one seat in either house. I suppose losing seats but maintaining control of both houses would be a win for conservatives if we think of the message being sent to the GOP tonight.

If we hold the Senate that should stop impeachment dead in the water.

We are currently at -10 seats in the House, but that may be offset by 2 GOP House pickups in GA.

The Senate has no role in impeachment, it won't matter.

I'm telling you, Steele smells a RAT. He just came on TV here on the Shore, asked his supporters to stay put, get something to eat, and hang in there. He said, "I am not going to allow networks to call this race." This one may be more interesting than the networks are leading us to believe. Hope springs Eternal!

He is not a true conservative. Spending, immigration, etc. And as much as I hate to say it he has not put an end to this Iraq thing fast enough. Americans like winners and to think Iraq has gone almost as long as our involvement in WWII cannot be understood by the typical voter.
If republicans are going to campaign as conservatives then they have to serve as conservatives. The historic takeover by the R's in 94 was not done by being middle of the road moderates.
Tonights results are nobodys fault but the republicans. (as much as I hate to say it)
