I presume you mean healthcare. You'd be surprised that a family of four with one parent employed, as a nurse, can qualify for medicaid! I know, I did the work.
I only shop at WM in the early morning, before all the underemployed customers get there. I prefer Target, but I doubt their people are any better compensated.
I go shopping after work, which is around eleven thirty at night. I HATE shopping in Walmart in the afternoon. I don't exactly have a choice but they have more organic vegetables than the local BiLo (which is amazing). I wonder what they pay people considering my job is an above average salary for the area (nine bucks an hour!). It's painful to watch people who don't need to be eating bread and cookies load up a shopping cart full of the worst crap Walmart can offer (and they can dish out a lot!).
