People who can't stand NYC assholes.

You remind me of a rather painful dinner I once had. I worked for a company that had a headquarters in New York at one point. I went there on a business trip and dinner with my colleagues. One of my colleagues went out of her way to ensure I knew she was a liberal Democrat and that was part of where she came from and part of her "heritage".

I quietly endured this tirade. After she was done, I said, gently, "It's clear that given the last election, that apparently the opposite tradition is a touch more widespread."

It will likely come as no surprise that I left the company 6 months later. :)

Regards, Ivan

Not this former NYer....
I'll take the stand with my southern conservative brethren.
Screw those pompous NY elitists...they have botched up NY so bad....it's like a foreign city to me. Wish a lot of my family would get out of there...most of them are conservatives too.

Where I work, my boss and two others are pure moonbats, but the rest of us, about 10, are right of center to far right.

We have come to an accommodation to not argue politics.
