I dont expect a Reagan type to jump out at us and be obvious to us now. I do believe that a popular conservative leader can emerge.

I believe the three greatest politicians of the 20th Century were Reagan, Churchill and Thatcher. And all of them had been viewed as never having a chance before they took office and achieved greatness.
There is another great conservative leader out there and we will know it when we see it. What we need to quit doing is picking a person and trying to convince ourselves that they're "Reaganesque," that's what many tried to do with GWB, he is a good wartime president, he is not a great leader.
