I am hoping that Steele does take the RNC chairman job. He's nobody's fool. Nice to see him truly made of Steele.

Nothing personal against Michael Steele ..........but as a Bushie, I am not feeling good either.

It 's the President who put him on spotlight during convention. It 's the President who sent him to Vatican as a member of US delegation.

When NAACP & other dems attacked Condi Rice & the President, Steele's voice was absent. When he was asked if he is a Bush Republican, he reply was the media-wanted one. And when he was told about the talk of him for GOP chairman - he said he will "consider".

Steele's a moderate-maverick... about as loyal as Schwarzenegger.

I tend to agree with your opinion about Michael Steele.

I WAS a strong backer of him for the Senate..and I really am sorry he lost..

However, I saw an interview with him on Fox News last week, about the time the rumor of his getting the job as RNC head guy came out.

He was asked about it...and without saying so, I got the impression that he would really like the job.

What perked my ears up was the last part of his interview, when he said that the important thing "NOW" is.."to get our troops home from Iraq as soon as possible"...

YIKES...that was TOO dem-like for me.
