Yeah cus in 2005 he was still telling us lies here in FL about his conservatism. This guy is a RINO at least if you consider amnesty a RINO wish.

That's the way I look at it. I just found out that we cannot replace our State Committee man and woman until the next convention -- that did not make me happy either.

Thanks for finding this. (Have you seen this, JP?)

Who the **** makes the decision about this position? Can we the actual Rebublican registered voters have some say? Can we create a stink?

If anyone has numbers/email addresses etc, post them please. This is beyond insanity.

I am seriously angry about this.

I agree that we need a full-time RNC chairman. I think that the party chairman should be someone who has been a state party chairman and has been a U.S. senator, U.S. rep., or governor. Asa Hutchinson would be a great choice. He was Chairman of the Arkansas GOP, 1993-'97; U.S. Rep., 1997-2001; Director of the DEA, 2001-'03; and Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security for Border Security, 2003-'05. Last week, he ran for governor of Arkansas and lost, so he's unemployed.

Chris Dodd was for the Rats a few years ago.

Yes, but not alone. Don Fowler was co-Chair.

Either that, or economic protectionism isn't conservative like the Tancredo crowd likes to say it is.

He can't be both senator and GOP chair, can he? Either way this sends the message "HEY, ALL YOU ILLEGALS, WANT AMNESTY? YOU GOT IT FROM US!". Another Republican disaster. Damn it!

The President nominates him but he has to be confirmed by the National Committee in January so we have between now and January to keep him for getting the necessary votes.

We can put pressure on our State Chairs and on our National Committee man and woman. I have already written my National Committee man to tell him to VOTE NO on Martinez.

So why then is someone with 100% from the ACU too liberal for these folks?

He's big govt. The acu doesn't know what they're talking about. Most of us keep track of voting records ourselves. I don't need anyone to tell me the amnesty and no drilling are leftists positions, for crying out loud!

I hear he is going to join the cabinet so someone must be leaving that we don't know about.

There we have it. Last week we hear at the daily presser that they plan to work with the dems for comprehensive immigration reform and today this.

Best and Brightest

ACU is pleased to recognize those members of the U.S. Senate who recorded a perfect score of 100% in 2005:

George Allen (R-VA)

Sam Brownback (R-KS)

Conrad Burns (R-MT)

Tom Coburn (R-OK)

Mike Crapo (R-ID)

John Ensign (R-NV)

James Inhofe (R-OK)

Johnny Isakson (R-GA)

Jon Kyl (R-AZ)

Mel Martinez (R-FL)

Mitch McConnell (R-KY)

Jeff Sessions (R-AL)

----

hmmm... maybe he's not so bad....

..This is ridiculous. Is the GOP trying to self-destruct?..

I've got it... A conspirator has infiltrated the RNC passing as a Republican - just Like MacaCain in the senate [dig] - to sabotage 2008 for us.

How else to explain it? :)
