Those who made the ultimate sacrifice should have ANY symbol their widows want.
Period.
Well, just to be accurate, would you distinguish between the requests of the two widows? The first man died in combat in Afghanistan. The second was a Korean War veteran who died 50 years later. Only the first made the "ultimate sacrifice."
I'll second that. Inspite of the religous bigotry expressed by some.
Sadly, I have to agree. They paid the ultimate price, give them their tombstone.
"Those who made the ultimate sacrifice should have ANY symbol their widows want. "
Agreed.
With today's method of making markers, and with scanners, readers, cutters, and computers, that request of any "odd symbol" made to any decent monument shop is only a matter of a few minutes' labor - and the USDVA has a wide resource of reputable monument cutters.
You oughta see the 10ft tall Confederate Veteran's monument 794 put up. Maybe I'll send you a picture of it sometime....
Well, within reason. I don't think they should put the 'symbol' of a naked behind on the stone or anything like that. I think Wicca is ridiculous, I do believe they should have the right to have the symbol on the stone if they want.
