How's about you believe what you want to believe and I'll believe that the Bible has always been relevant and will be forever. I believe in it's God breathed inerrancy and the literal reading is exactly how it is meant to be read. You can't accept the parts that you like and throw out the parts you don't. If God says it, that is sure good enough for me. Period

I'll believe that the Bible has always been relevant and will be forever.

So will I. But I don't pretend to completely understand all that is written there.

the literal reading is exactly how it is meant to be read.

How do you know that for sure?

You can't accept the parts that you like and throw out the parts you don't.

I don't want to throw out anything; I am trying to understand what is written in appropriate context. What is important is the ultimate truth not isolated literal details (like all of creation being completed in 7 earth days - that is clearly myth)

If God says it, that is sure good enough for me. Period

How do you know that all the writers of the Bible got God's word correctly? Were they perfect? Did they ascend as Jesus did? No. The only totally accurate spiritual communication is from God directly to you.
