Fernando G. Parrales, B Company, 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment supply sergeant, served 20 years in the Army. His overseas tours include Germany, Bosnia and Iraq. He will retire to Rome, N.Y.

*Staff Sgt. Arie Shavit, Headquarters Company, 10th Mountain Division (LI) supply noncommissioned officer in charge, served 20 years in the Army. His overseas tours include Germany, Korea, Somalia, Haiti, Egypt, Somalia, Haiti and Iraq. He will retire to Watertown.

Then you had to go find a 514th Maint Co. which is apparently organic to the 10th.

Could be either/or as much mixing and matching they do nowadays.

Since it was reported in the email as the 5/14, that would indicate the Stryker Cav unit. Otherwise one would think it would have been stated via voice as Five Hundred and Fourteenth. Not Five Fourteen. A Stryker Cav unit would theoretically be a unit that could be utilized if you had gotten information on a very large weapons cache from the interrogation of the individuals in the story I posted. Obviously they were heavy players and had to have a large weapons cache they were drawing from. So you send out your best Stryker Cav units to help secure the weapons cache. That would be my guess anyway.
