It could be possible that the 5 was a typo and should have been a 2 instead or perhaps just a mistake.

FORT DRUM, N.Y. – A soldier from San Francisco died in Iraq of a non-combat injury, military officials said Tuesday. Army Pfc. Keith J. Moore, 28, who was stationed out of Fort Drum, died Saturday in Baghdad. No further details on his death were available late Tuesday, but the incident remained under investigation, Department of Defense officials said in a written statement.

Moore was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.

With these Multi-National Force Structures it is hard to say. Could have mix and match units. The unit designations were given by voice to the person who composed the email. The main question if it was the new Stryker Cav unit, is why were they assigned to the 10th Mountain Division ? Perhaps a logistical assignment. They were a new type of unit. Combining Cav personal with the Stryker.
