Bingo!
Now ask yourself why some sanctimonious "conservatives" spend all their time telling us what WE did wrong.
You know what REALLY drives me nuts?
All of the left wing, Lunatic LIEBERALS have all come out of the Moonbat Cave and the Oprah Nation is no longer paying attention.
They have gone back to watching Deal or no Deal on TV and have no clue that we are in 1939 redux and about to get fried.
When it happens, and it will (Although the Islamonuts are patient enough to wait post 2008 election again)
The dumbasses are going to still blame Bush
Propoganda works, the relentless negativism works, Americans have been dumbed down to robot status through Public EduKashion.
We Conservatives are still too polite to start a food fight at a dinner party!
I open my mouth everywhere I go, most people hate me but I am so sick of complacency.
Open your mouths too, don't be afraid to voice your opinions politely.
The Barking Rabid Moonbats will kill us all!
/Rant Off
It seems brilliant, but what it truly is--is passionate. I don't buy that Kuo pulled this off, but I hear a significant echo in the chamber. They dissed Joe Sixpack, they sneered behind their hands at the rubes, and got slapped.
I think the US system works best when there are two political parties that both seek the best for the US.
I figure we are part way there: About 3/4ths of the Republicans, and about half of the Dems. I welcome the conservatives that the Dems had to run (Example: Webb in Virginia), to win. These new people will help influence the Dems in a good way, and have already put the Pelosi-Murtha corruption wing of the Democrats on notice.
I don't mourn Chaffee, he was, as Ann Coulter put it, the only guy in the Senate to dumb to not know he was really a Democrat.
It is people like YOU that are going to help is get the Majority back, also.
Thank you for all you have done...
Well...I'm a "nut"...
and I voted.
I didn't believe this Kuo guy, either.
How many in the Bible Belt lost their seats?
I've heard all their explanations for why we lost. A lot of them I have doubts as to whether they are really "Conservatives". The rest I believe are like me and I don't have a CLUE! I suspect that many are upset with the loss, as I am, and are just lashing out in anger.
The 2006 election is over. We have elections coming up in 2007 for local offices in some areas and the 2008 elections will be here before we know it. Time to get cracking. We still need to be about electing Republicans.
Lots the nuts with the spine long ago.
There's some truth in it. I do know that the attitude has been prevalent in elite political circles. Unlike this talented writer though, I would tend to call it more 'one factor among many' for the losses.
Gosh..good question. I really have no idea.
After all the mild-mannered schoolgirl commentary from our usual milk-fed, bow-tied pundits...the spirit he writes with is better than brilliance.
I try to be understated...
;-)
The GOP was infiltrated a while ago with RATS with an agenda(think Foley). The best thing to happen from the election is we got rid of most of the traitors.
No need to be profane.
Actually this is old news. Repubs continually try to have it both ways.
On the one hand, they embrace social conservatives BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY CAN'T WIN WITHOUT THEM (as Nov 7 proved).
On the other hand, they make a show of the party as "a big tent" that embraces all views (which also pumps up campaign contributions).
It appears Repubs overplayed their hand and that the Nov 7 debacle resulted from the all-important Christian base stalking off the Repub reservation in high dungeon, unable to stomach the party's high-handed tactics to undermine the issues they value.
One of the party's major errors was to let loose pro-abort, gay-worshipping Rudy Giuliani. The RNC paraded Giuliani around to campaign for numerous Republicans. To a man, all of them went down to defeat.
Repubs chased away the important voter base that would have given them those crucial margins of victory. Ironically, at the same time Repubs were turning off their base, Dims were calculatedly refiguring their message, and their candidates, to appeal to these same voters.
Excellent column. Bush should "send a message" to the scumbags he has surrounded himself with in this White House by firing anybody who sneered about a huge GOP constituency being "nuts". I agree with this writer - - that attitude cost a lot of votes.
Yep, the rats are learning to lie better. It will be interesting to see how long the mindless chattering class is fooled.
Take away the last two words of that headline and you'll have an accurate analysis of Today's GOP.
