So, there would be no story here other than rules put in place following 9-11 and the youngsters attending an exclusive, private school. Let's bash rich kids and their parents, seems to me in this case.

Actually, if I were to *bash* anyone, it would be the principal for storing the bomb for a day, then calling the police.

I suspect you'd see some different responses from many FReepers had it been a public school, however.

10-4. My guess is the principal wanted to deal with the situation internally and through the parents. The school's attorney was likely consulted and insisted the incident be reported to police.

Youngster's lives are sometimes derailed by silly, thoughtless incidents. Hope this doesn't happen to these boys.
