Let me see if I grasp your angle on this: you say Republicans did come out in greater numbers but because the GOP GOTV effort spun in favor of Arnold it pulled Rats to polls in even great numbers.

Look, it comes down to the simple fact that Republicans had an albatross around their necks which motivated even more Dems to vote. Doesn't mean Arnold's to blame.

The election's over, let's look at the facts and move on. I'm less worried about 2006 than McCain, Rudy and the other characters positioning for 2008! The time to decide our standard bearers is the primary season. Let's make it a good one!
