what was his stance on the Patriot Act and wiretapping? Well, considering that
- he was one of Joe McCarthy's favorite investigators (assistant council, working with Roy Cohn) on his committee during the Senate hearings on communist infiltration of the government (McCarthy was also the godfather of one of Bobby's children)
- he regularly utilized information from wiretaps obtained without benefit of a warrant for political blackmail
- he and his brother ordered the coup in Vietnam that led to the assassination of the President of that country by the generals the Kennedy's backed
- the brothers had the CIA attempt the assassination of Fidel Castro several times
I think he would say the patriot act and NSA program are pretty wimpy.
