The 751 No-Go Zones of France
Jihadwatch.org ^ | 11/24/06 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 11/25/2006 4:35:13 PM PST by voletti

They go by the euphemistic term Zones Urbaines Sensibles, or Sensitive Urban Zones, with the even more antiseptic acronym ZUS, and there are 751 of them as of last count. They are conveniently listed on one long webpage, complete with street demarcations and map delineations.

What are they? Those places in France that the French state does not control. They range from two zones in the medieval town of Carcassone to twelve in the heavily Muslim town of Marseilles, with hardly a town in France lacking in its ZUS. The ZUS came into existence in late 1996 and according to a 2004 estimate, nearly 5 million people live in them.

Comment: A more precise name for these zones would be Dar al-Islam, the place where Muslims rule. (November 14, 2006)

If they were to name them ZOTs (Zones Of Tolerance, Zones of Treason, etc) then we could send in the Viking Kitties, who always do a splendid job.  But then we would just be back to it being France as it was, which would be no real benefit to the USA that I see....

If your planing to travel France, do they hand out a ZUS map with the Michelin map?

I pulled up some of the linked maps , most are dated Jan 1, 1997 ,,, they are 1 month away from being 10 years outdated and they show a serious cancer even then , If I was the king of England I'd set charges in the Chunnel and start building my version of a MOAB....

ZUS (pronounced zoos) seems quite appropriate.

As good a story that this might make, from reading the blog, this seems to be a misunderstanding.

The zones mentioned are targeted for economic development and are not related (directly) to Muslim control.

We need to pride ourselves in getting the facts straight first, then applying our superior ideology. It's the Left that applies ideology first, then manipulates the truth to fit the ideology. That's why their ideology is evil.

Alas, my friend. The truth is dire. The so-called targetting for economic developemnt you speak of is de-facto jiyza to muzlim rule. How is it that most other imigrant communities - chinese, vietnamese, indians etc have never made the kind of trouble these muz routinely stir up? Call me biased if you will, but we've collectively let down our defences too far with charitable explanations of the kind you offer. Time to call a spade a spade here.

Have a nice day.

This is shabby reporting indeed. Jihadwatch as a media organizaiton is quickly falling into WND and DEBKA level of yellow dog tabloid.

http://www.newarkuez.org/uez-map.html

Here is the equivalent "Urban Enterprise Zone" or UEZ in Newark, NJ. The yellow zone on that map is the Central and South Wards. French Muslim thugs wouldn't dare walk through those areas of Newark.

Is the USA any better because our underclass is home bred? Is the USA any better because we imprison more of our underclass, and do so for longer prison terms than the French? Is the USA better off because we have a very diverse immmigrant underclass, or is Balkanization in our future, while in France the ethnic divide is closer to a dichotomy of "ethnic French" and "non-French Ethnics"?

The U.S. should introduce a "land for peace" Security Council resolution calling for France to cede all 751 "ZUS" zones to Muslim rule, using the Oslo Agreement and Mideast "Roadmap" as precedcents.

Looks like some big concentrations in certain areas, by rough count:

Bouches du Rhône with 29

Moselle with 22

Nord with 52

Rhone with 31

Val D'Oise 21

Essone with 26

Seine St Denis with 36

... Until France becomes the third Islamic nuclear power (after Iran).

But France has SLBM's which could be an even more serious threat than third rate ICBM's.

I think the no-go zones will decrease in number.
Hedging your bets?
Either the French take care of the civil war or they will slowly lose and more of france will becore a Sanitary Zone.

Where is the outrage?
I fear for France. The De Guallists created the Eurabia project. Sarkozy will not fix the problem. He will simply seek a better peace than his UMP rivel de Villpin. The Socialist Party candidate Ségolène Royal is somewhat interesting. She is against Turkey joining the EU and supports military action to prevent an Iranian nuclear weapons program. Perhaps it is because she is a Pieds Noires having been born in Senegal. Le Pen vasilates between allying himself to the Muslims on foreign policy and dealing with the Islamicization of France. The only candidate to take the issue on is Phillipe de Villiers of tghe Movement for France. Sadly he will probably not get more than 10% unless he can get Le Pen to drop out.

You're wrong. Read Steyns book.

Reread my post again. As the no go zones get bigger, they will merge with each other and decrease the number of no go zones. Eventually the whole country becomes one big no go zone, so the number of no go zones decreases from 751 to 1.

It is crime that is scaring the police. In some of these locations there is military on the streets.

from your link of awkward French translations:

Scheduled Lapidation

...refers to the pre-meditated stoning of the French police. It has such a Muzzie ring.... n'est-ce pas?
