Press conference soon?
Personally why I use white silk nursing tape is for my own visual because there are a lot of markers from over the years in bright pink or orange.
However your idea would be good as a marker if it was a color designated as I am lost help me.
Blue, red, pink, orange is used routinely for electric, water, property markers.
Maybe a striped neon of colors that would stand out.
Once in awhile (very rare) I might let the boyz out for a 3 am run and have thought about putting those neon necklaces that glow in the dark, big with kids and Oriental Trading Co...sales them for pennys by the box.
Usually if the boyz go out for a run without me it isn't because they have permission though.
They know the one door in the house that leads to the bay and if I am not on top of my game and go to take trash out ect..they are always lurking.
Update just was on and maybe Oregon Rancher can help explain.
They feel James may have gone down into a drain ditch that leads down to the Rogue river.....in is about 6 miles long.
Now I am wondering if he entered the ditch/pipe what the heck did the end look like as in how many feet overhanging or not on the Rogue. He would have to double back as the Rogue would be swift and to cold and no people...
Wish they would give a visual.
Gosh this guy has to hang in there he has to many folks pulling for him.
Oh, I see what you mean about the Day-Glo colors being everywhere already. *oh well*
Here's another post about some of the presser details:

Thanks for that communique from Kati.
I understand they have tracked James to the Rouge River so he is trying to follow a river out.
They said they believe he is within miles of the car. Somehow I wonder about that as he has been gone over 2 days!
Said they cannot use the horses or the dogs due to the terrain.
I fear for his life too but have great hope that he will be found safe.
Lots of mistakes happened. First I wouldn't have gone that route in the dark and in bad weather ... even rain. But the municipality needs to stop touting the road as scenic and usable in the winter.
Yeah, I just saw that about the dogs and horses not being able to work in that area.
Here's the latest Cnet message and story, plus a link to the story of the March 2006 lost couple on this same road (without the follow-up, lol):

I have hope too! Such a young family...
Oh, I hope he's ok!
Prayers going up for this young husband and father.
Please, God, let them find him alive!
My husband's aunt owned a resort in Galice. I've only been there in the summer, and I know they used to drive that road, but never in inclement weather. Actually only in summer....They used to drive cars for the fishing guides over to the beach.
Amen!

Sounds like a pretty place! Just not in winter, tho. Does your hubby know how far it might be from Galice or from their resort to Bear Camp Viewpoint?
Kati commented that he was "weak" when he left. I'm gonna take a very wild guess at what effects the wild berries might have had on him -- not meaning mentally, or poisonous, if you get my "drift."
Sorry, I'm not posting from home. Babysitting my grandchildren. Perhaps you can find it on a map? It used to be called Galice resort, however the name may have changed....
No problem. I found their location and know where it is, was just wanting a familiar local's comments on that exact place. Don't worry about it. OregonRancher pretty well has us covered, as some others, too.
Oh.
Well you get it all here for sure.
Even some of the Hollywood gossip you may or may not give a hoot about.
Amen to that.
They wanted to but the mere suggestion caused major hissy fits around here.
Trying to think what kind of berries would be on bushes this time of year. Oregon grape? They don't taste good (putting it mildly) but aren't poisonous, used medicinally. Root is for fever and liver probs, can't remember what berries do. IIRC, people used to (and maybe sometimes still) make stuff from them. Sour/bitter.
There wouldn't likely be any shrivelled blackberries left.
Excellant update link.
That guy is loved and regardless of the bad rap Portyland Socialists get what you see in the vibrant hope these searchers are showing is really the heart of Oregonians.
