Boston -- Governor Mitt Romney has started his push for the White House, but a recent story could be damaging for Romney. Romney has been an advocate for rounding up illegal immigrants but he may have to take care of his own backyard. Check out what the FOX25 Morning News has to say right here on MyFoxBoston.com.

I really like Newt, Hunter is a good man but likely not viable, McCain may as well be a democrat, Rudy scares me on his very pro amnesty stance, I like that Romney has the courage to be anti-amnesty, McCain is the only one i couldn't consider. And I don't think Tancredo is a nut.

So, are you calling for Romney to tear out his yard? Hmm??? Well???

As soon as Tom Tancredo wields the slegehammer to destroy his Colorado home basement built by(by Tancredo's rhetoric) impure "un American" labor.

Yeah and you would accept this Globe tactic if Hunter was the target. Right.

Good question. Unless some conservative "blogger" does the investigation, it's not likely we'll ever know.

I don't think that many Freepers are pro amnesty. What makes you say that? And I think that the presidential candidate who best articulates the border enforcement issue will win. Democrats and non-political persons who simply want to get their country back will cross party lines.

Hunter is a good man but likely not viable

He's viable if we get off our butts and make him viable and stop believing the few here who tell us he is not. He has the best long standing record on immigration of anyone. He is former military and has a son served in Iraq. He exposed the Dubai port deal. If he doesn't have a chance it's our fault.

Romney seems to be running to the right of almost everyone who seems to be running except Newt, yet he is painted as quite liberal. I prefer someone who runs clear right and maybe drifts to the middle than a republican already running on the left, especially on amnesty.

I seem to mainly get entangled in the amnesty threads, I am glad to hear it's not so. Rudy and McCain being very pro amnesty and apparent front runners is disconcerting. Still a long way to go.

As far as I'm concerned the media is helping me prevent the nomination of a milktoast RINO.

If you think relying on the Boston Globe for your information makes any kind of sense..well, I just can't believe it.

Some are foolish enough to hope she gets the nomination. If she gets it, she is the next president. The wildcard may be a Tom Tancredo 3rd party run.

You're correct about Hunter! But the full blame will not be 'ours', if Republicans don't unite in his favor. IMO, open borders and illegal immigration will be THE hot button issue for '08 and that is why, again, there is a rush by Bush & the OBL, and those like McCain, who favor CIR to get it passed. Borders be damned, they want shamensty a done deal before '08. Hunter has the best record on both issues and is a candidate all Republicans should be UNITED and supporting. We should all be throwing our help his way. And, likewise, Hunter needs to begin asap to get his message out to ALL Americans. Because most Americans are in favor of securing our borders and do not want 'earned' amnesty. Hunter can beat ANY top of the ticket Democrat on this issue!! Unfortunately, however, there are those Republicans, including some freepers who will continue to brood, attack, and drop the race card at every opportunity. They will absolutely refuse to support anyone who doesn't support Bush's agenda.

The local Boston media is digging deep to find a vein of villification on Romney that the national MSM can mine. If this bogus story is their Mother Lode, then Romney is looking better than ever.
