Melanie Phillips provides harrowing details of the transformation of Britain in her book Londonistan, about which jihad expert Steve Emerson writes, "Londonistan is one of the most compelling books you will ever read on the ascendancy of Islamic fundamentalism, violence and intimidation in the West."

Absolute garbage. Read the statistics on Religionj in the UK. 41 million Christians as compared to 1.6 million Muslims.

Next, migration patterns, which is something Melanie Philips and Mark Steyn NEVER talk about show that the vast bulk of recent immigrants to the UK come from Eastern Europe - over 600,000 have done so since EU expansion.

There will be no backlash from the American people. Over 50% could care less what is going on in the country.

We all thought during the cold war that it was going to be the Communist that was going to take over within, without firing a shout, but even back then we were fighting the Islamist, but only a few knew about it. My husband was one of those killing Muslims to keep them from taking over our African navy bases.

You are right of course,there will be arrests. Secret societies will form, and be condemned, but they will be formed, the killing may go on for a long time. Buy plenty of ammo now.

It will be a lot like the Muslims now where half the fighters dont know who the other half are. Groups who are fed up will fight and then melt into the walls. You see the Muslims arent the only ones who can fight guerilla wars. They will be upset when their Mosques are burned down,then they will atatck people who didnt do the burning,that leads to more angry people to join the fight.
The Muslims will make the same mistakes fighting guerila war that we make now. The only mistake they wont make will be arresting anyone, They will take no live prisoners.

You asume the country will still be going along like it is now. Certainly if people have their TV sets, their video games, their vacations in Florida, their new cars and plenty of gas, there will be no backlash. However, that will change. When women are dragged off the street an beaten for not wearing a Hajib, when Christians have no jobs. when the food is hard to get, when farmers efforts are taken and not paid for, They WILL react. As we start regressing more and more into the 12th century Muslims live in people will not be so servile.

The liberal media still hasn't gotten the message that whatever is wrong with Jerry Falwell, Muslims are far worse. The liberal media still thinks that Muslims want peace and that they are discriminated against. This is of course the Muslim line, the Muslims are surprisingly good at using leftist rhetoric (first and foremost with regards to the Palestinians). The Muslims only need to call their adversaries 'Nazis' and they have a sympathetic ear on the left. A complete lie of course, the closest thing to Nazis in this day and age are the Muslim totalitarians who hate Jews.

Some liberals are starting to get the picture. Bruce Bawer (known for his book Stealing Jesus, a criticism of conservative Evangelicals) has written a new book, While Europe Slept, that describes the growing danger from Islamism in Europe. An interesting book because it describes his own shift in views and growing alarm, as a liberal American who moved to Europe (Bawer is fluent in several western European languages). Now this might not be the best book for people at FR (Bawer is openly gay), but it would be an excellent book for clueless liberals who need to get the message about Islam.

I hope Americans wake up too and fast. We need to stop letting these Muslims into our country and stop bending over backwards for them. Deport the ones with terrorist ties and any who have been involved in the past with funding such groups. Most of all we need to wake our politicians up and tell them we won't stand for this cr@p anymore. Doesn't seem to me that they care though. They just don't want to do what Americans want.
