IRANIAN President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today warned Western leaders to follow the path of God or "vanish from the face of the earth", the semi-official news agency Mehr reported.
"These oppressive countries are angry with us ... a nation that on the other side of the globe has risen up and proved the shallowness of their power," Mr Ahmadinejad said in a speech in the northern town of Ramsar.
"They are angry with our nation. But we tell them 'so be it and die from this anger'. Rest assured that if you do not respond to the divine call, you will die soon and vanish from the face of the earth," he said.

No, it is not the same. Christ is a title derived from the Greek Christos, which means anointed, and can be applied to Kings, Priests and Prophets. The title has an equivalent in Hebrew - Mashiach or Moshiach, usually transliterated to Messiah in English. Observant Jews look forward to the coming of HaMoshiach (THE Annointed One), who will rule with a "rod of iron" and teach Torah rightly. Their dispute with Christians has to do with the identification of the Moshiach. Many of the things which Christians have attributed to, or done in the name of Jesus, son of Joseph, disqualify him as Moshiach in Jewish eyes.
As far as the identification of "God", Jews and Christians are agreed that they recognize Elokim and Yah as referring to the Creator, giver of Torah and that the prophets of the Bible spoke what they heard from him.
Glenn Beck had a father call his radio show this morning whose daughter (13 yo) was questioning him about a world war. He asked her where she heard that and she said the Muslims at school are talking about one saying it is coming.

He did not. The MEDIA has again 'lied' to us about the words of a foreign national leader.
Reuters said "God"; NutJob means "Allah."

Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war…When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them….If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya [the tax on non-Muslims specified in Qur’an 9:29]. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them. (Sahih Muslim 4294)
