Jimmy Carter has reached a new low in stupidity. Hamas would be that group of Islamofascist terrorists that has vowed to wipe Israel off the map. On what grounds is it "criminal" for Canada to withhold assistance from a group of terrorists hostile not only to Israel's existence but to the West? Coming from the man who writes of Israel as practicing apartheid, this is entirely in keeping with his views about the Jewish State.

What is this guy smoking?
Palestinians can say what they want but no one is required to agree with it or support it.

Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter says the decision by Canada and other nations to withhold money from the Hamas-led Palestinian government is "a crime."

Carter is beginning to make Buchanan look like Prime Minster of Israel material. He's been over the edge for a long time, but now he just seems desparate for attention or a serious slap-down.

How long before the DNC works up the sanity to muzzle the old fart...
Every time he speaks, it's a brain fart.
Poor old Jimmy Carter will never forgive America for deciding he was a feckless imbecile and threw him out of office after only one failed term..
Jimmy Carter is proof positive that "shit happens"...

Has any former US president become as disreputable as Jimmy Carter? The man seems to be devoid of either common sense or common decency.

Carter also said the Israeli response to the capturing of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah last summer was "excessive beyond what was needed." What was really needed, according to Carter, was for Israel to Immediately have a few divisions of Israeli Soldiers put their weapons down, put their hands in the air, and then walk (crawling would be preferable) into the Terrorists camps. If each soldier could carry a small white flag in one hand, that would be great too!

"With all due respect to former president Carter, he does not speak for the Democratic party on Israel," Pelosi said in a statement. Sure he does. He's only saying out loud what you clearly convey through policy and actions.

"For Canada and others to punish the Palestinian people because they voted for their candidates of choice, I think is literally a crime."
If the election choice available to the Palestinians was Aid v. Hamas, and the Palestinians chose Hamas, where is the crime? The Palestinians knew the consequences, and they accepted them. Does Jimmy Carter have any concept of people being responsible for their own actions?

That Jimmy Carter is not in a nursing home is literally a crime. Where is social services when we need them?

Absolutely. Nazi Pelosi is just trying to hide how the Dems really think.
Jimmy Carter has no filter at all. He just never knows when to SFTU. Proving over and over the wisdom of the voters in 1980.

Why does the press give him any mention? Because he says what they think. They can quote him, and be immunized, point and say, "HE said it, not us!".
They give anyone publicity if they spout their fantasies. Consider that sow Sheehan, who would never have been noticed otherwise, a complete Media synthesis.
